Home » News » Lomon Billions Invests in Additional Chloride Titanium Dioxide Pigment Production Capacity in Jiaozuo, China

The Board of Directors at Lomon Billions has approved an estimated CYN 1.8billion (~US$ 285 million) investment in the construction of two new chloride TiO₂ manufacturing lines at its existing chloride production site in Jiaozuo, Henan Province, China. The two new lines will provide an additional annual chloride TiO₂ pigment capacity of around 200,000 tons. Feasibility and engineering studies and extensive preapproval works have already been completed and all external approvals are in place. Commercial production from the new lines is expected during 2019.

This investment in additional chloride capacity will allow Lomon Billions to increase its chloride TiO2 pigment portfolio to manufacture more high-performance chloride TiO₂ pigments for a wider range of applications and will strengthen the company’s global competitiveness.

It currently has a total annual production capacity of over 700,000 tons and is ranked 4th in the world and 1st in Asia in terms of TiO₂ pigment production capacity.

Lomon Billions has been manufacturing TiO₂ pigment for almost 30 years. The company has four established ISO certified TiO2 pigment production sites in three locations in China: Jiaozuo, Henan Province, Deyang, Sichuan Province and Xiangyang, Hubei Province. Lomon Billions also owns an ilmenite mine in Panzhihua, Sichuan Province, a key raw material for TiO2 production.
