Trinseo has expanded solution styrene butadiene rubber (SSBR) production capacity at its facility in Schkopau, Germany by 33%, according to a company official.

Speaking to ERJ at the Tire Technology Expo in Hanover on 20 Feb, director of technology & innovation, Sandra Hofmann said the 50 kilotonnes per annum (ktpa) asset-upgrade was completed “recently”.

The project, she pointed out, has raised total SSBR production capacity at the facility to 200 ktpa.
