A Middle Eastern industry source informed a polymerupdate team member on the shutdown plans of a refinery operated by state run Bahrain Petroleum Company.
The source said, «the maintenance turnaround will be undertaken at a 69,000 barrels per day crude unit at the company's Sitra refinery. The other units which are also scheduled for a shutdown include a 70,000 barrels per day vacuum distillation unit and a 50,000 barrels per day low sulphur diesel complex».
The source added, «the refinery, which has a crude processing capacity of 267,000 barrels per day, is scheduled to undergo a major maintenance turnaround, starting February 16, 2011. The turnaround will last for around one month».
