Silicon Dioxide Production in the CIS

      The article describes production of silicon dioxide in the CIS countries and examines existing SiO2 grades. The total CIS output of synthetic silicon dioxide is estimated at 35,000 tonnes annually. It is obvious that the manufacturing of the synthetic silicone dioxide will grow continuously with a considerable widening of its applications in many fields in the nearest future. Recently, the CIS producers began to give more attention to product quality due to transitions in the market economy. Moreover, the time has come for the adaptation and use of modern foreign technologies and high-quality raw materials. Synthetic silicone dioxide in all its production forms is a truly high-tech substance. As an additive, it improves technical and application features of many chemicals and final products significantly. This explains its growing use and demand .
