Aleksin Integrated Chemical Plant: Stepping Back from Abyss![]() Just a couple of years ago, optimistic outlooks for the Aleksin Integrated Chemical Plant manufacturing various gun powders for the developed military industry of Russia were out of the question. The plant located in Tula faced a severe crisis. They said that it would be better for the plant to go bankrupt, that the company with a giant manufacturing area requiring heavy investments could not survive under the present market conditions, and that nobody would take on responsibility for its further existence....However, last year a new management team came to the AICP, which had become a state-owned enterprise by that time. Aleksey Rogozin, general director of the company, said at that time that it would be too early to disregard the plant; adopting a skillful policy on production organisation, human resources, financial, and corporate issues would help to gain back the lost position of one of the leaders n the Russian defense industry. So, a year has passed, and what is the outcome?
