Production of Vanadium Pentoxide in Russia![]() Vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) also known as vanadium (V) oxide is regarded as the most stable vanadium compound. The property of V2O5 to lose oxygen while heating and, thus, to catalyse a big number of chemical reactions is widely used. In Russia, V2O5 is commercially produced by two enterprises: Evraz Vanady Tula is the largest European producer of vanadium pentoxide, ferrovanadium-50 and ferrovanadium-80 and Chusovoy Metallurgical Works JSC. The first turned out 7,196 tonnes of vanadium in the form of vanadium pentoxide in 2012. The present article highlights precise data about Russian V2O5 manufacturing.
