Latest Data on Russian Production of Zinc Sulphate![]() Zinc sulphate is an inorganic compound, as well as any of commercially produced monohydrate ZnSO4 *H2O and heptahydrate ZnSO4 *7H2O. It was historically known as “white vitriol.” It is a colourless solid that is a common source of soluble zinc ions. According to the Russian Federal State Statistics Service, the domestic output of zinc sulphate in 2012 made up 4,584 tonnes, which is a 11% YOY increase as compared to 2011, when it totalled 4,129 tonnes.
