Contrary to the global trends in epoxy resins production, so far most of the major Russian players have slowed down or even stopped their production. Moreover, the decline in the output in the Russian Federation took place against the background of the continued growth in demand, primarily from the paints and coatings industry, and then the production of adhesives, sealants and building materials. In 2011, with the average decline rate of 8.8% per year, the production volume decreased to 4,500 tonnes.
