Business of the Long Knives: Production of Reclaimed Rubber in Russia![]() About 1m tonnes of tyres are discarded across Russia every year. According to various estimates only from 2% to 15% of this quantity is re-processed, which is obviously a negligible amount for the largest country in the world. Surely, the absence of a necessary legislation framework is a big barrier for the advancement of rubber recycling in Russia. In the present article, we, however, will focus more on technologies used by few domestic companies to recycle rubber. And long knives are not the only tool to make rubber crumb. What remarkable methods are employed by the domestic reclaimed rubber companies?
