Helium is widely used in a range of industries, such as defence, aviation, aerospace, electronics, nuclear power engineering, and healthcare.

The Orenburg oil and gas condensate field is at the moment the only exploited deposit in Russia. It is fairly poor in helium. New rich fields in Russia contain more than 0.5% of helium and their exploitation very soon will result in a real revolution at the global helium market dominated now by the U.S.
