Chemical Industry of Albania: Relying on Mineral Resources, Hoping for Modernisation![]() Albania is one of the poorest countries in Europe. At the same time it is extremely rich in mineral resources. Chromium, copper, and nickel ores, bauxites and salt are mined in Albania. In 2010, the turnover of the mining industry equalled ALL 37.78bn (EUR 275m).
