Wollastonite Market in Russia and Ukraine

Wollastonite is a natural calcium silicate (CaSiO3) of white and light-grey colors. World production volume of wollastonite ore amounted to 600,000 tonnes in 2008. In Russia its production is carried out only in Gorny Altai (Wollastonite Ltd). Wollastonite products manufacturers are Geokom CJSC and Trans-Resurs Ltd. Russian wollastonite imports went up from 3,500 tonnes to 5,500 tonnes in 2008. A bulk of this mineral is supplied by China. Our article offers more detailed info on the issue.
