Due to its vast land areas, Kazakhstan has huge potential to break into world’s biofuel market. Presently, the alternative fuel is produced here from grain wastes.
Biohim has pioneered bioethanol manufacturing in the CIS territory. The company financed by the Kazyna Foundation for Sustainable Development and other institutions is located in the north of Kazakhstan 143 km from Petropavlovsk. Two grades of bioethanol are manufactured at the plant, and one more is planned.
