     The conference was focused on the current state and development prospects of the Russian plastic pipe market, raw materials supply, construction projects, the commissioning of new capacities in Russia, production, the marketing and consumption of plastic pipes, imports, pricing policies for Russian and global markets, standards and regulations, and ecological safety. From 2000 till 2007, the production of polymer pipes grew by five times, with growth rates remaining fairly high. Their production and applications have been increasing, and this growth is reflected by the data as well. During 2000-2007, imports of polypropylene pipes increased by six times reflecting top popularity of this kind of pipes. The article summarises reports presented by key speakers from Creon, Sabic Europe, LyondellBasell Industries, and Poliplastic Group.
