The International Fair of Plastics Processing PLASTPOL is the largest fair dedicated to plastics in Eastern/Central Europe. Lithopone is a mixture of barium sulphate (BaSO4) with zinc sulfide (ZnS). In industry it is used as a white pigment. Lithopone is not produced in Russia, as in other CIS countries. The demand is met entirely by imports. Last year 242 tonnes of pigment was imported to Russia that is 2.4 times less than in 2008.
